Dr. Rolando Rodriguez serves as Senior Director of Texas Baptists en Español for the Baptist General Convention of Texas. He has served in this capacity since 2007. Besides serving with the Convention, Bro. Rolando has been a pastor since 1989, including 17 years at Cockrell Hill Baptist Church in Dallas. Through his ministry, the Lord has used Rev. Rodríguez to guide Hispanic churches through periods of transition and change, and started 20 congregations, including one in Laos. Brother Rolando has a great passion for international missions, but more than anything for the development and growth of Hispanic Baptists in Texas and beyond. Rev. Rodriguez is a graduate of Baptist University of the Americas, has a Master’s degree in Christian Education and a Master’s Degree in Global Leadership from Dallas Baptist University, Honorary Doctorate in Divinity and working on his DMin at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. God blessed him with his wife of 34 years, Angie, and 3 grown children, Sarah, Elizabeth and Roland, all married and 7 Grandkids. How I want to be remembered: Someone who loved the Lord with all his heart, Loved and provided for his family, and committed to build disciple makers.
